Class blogging instructions

Send an email to dale.gilbert.jarvis@gmail.com asking to be put on the Folklore4480 blog. I’ll do this as quickly as possible, but it isn’t automated, so it won’t happen instantly.

Go to www.blogger.com and login using your gmail address.

This will open the Blogger dashboard. If you’ve sent me your gmail address you should see an option under “manage blogs” that says “Folklore 4480: Folklore and Oral History”

To create a new post:

Click the blue “new post” button. Enter a title (either street address or name of your story/informant) and then your description of your interview. This can be as short or as long as you want it. You can also add a photo here if you wish. Hit the “publish post” button to add it to the blog.

If you have a sound file you want to add, email the mp3 or wav file to me at dale.gilbert.jarvis@gmail.com and I’ll look after putting it online and linking it to your posting. Be sure to include the title of your post, so I know I’m linking it to the right one.

To edit a post:

From the dashboard, just click the “edit posts” link. This will open a list of all the blog posts. Click your own, and edit away.
